Sewn with Spirit : My handmade horse-print apron
There's something deeply satisfying about creating something both useful and meaningful and some sewing projects mean a little more than others - and this one definitely did.
I recently made a custom apron for my brother, who has always loved horses.
When I spotted this fabric covered in ponies and horses, I instantly thought of him. This horse-print apron is one of those projects that made me slow down, smile and appreciate the beauty in every stitch.
I wanted the apron to be more than just functional, so I added a special touch : his name embroidered across the front. It was the final detail that made it truly his - a gift that felt as unique as he is.
Making something by hand is such a lovely way to show love - the time taken and care stitched right into the fabric.
Sometimes the best gifts aren't bought - they are sewn, one thoughtful stitch at a time.
Until next time,
take care xx
